After Prime, which upgrade makes sense for contemporary music?

  • Hi Juan,

Tell us a little more about your plans, and ideally also mention your budget.

Which sections are most important for your writing style?

What is "contemporary music" for you?

  • I mean like instrumental music.

I guess my question is whats primarily missing in prime that getting other synchron lib will make a notable difference.

I asked about MiR but I was told that for prime that would not be a good upgrade necesarily.

    Thank you

  • Hello Juan,

You are pretty well covered with all orchestral sections and the basics with Synchron Prime Edition.

There are more specialized instruments in collections like Synchron World Winds or Synchron World Percussion, if you are interested to broaden your spectrum this way.

Also, our pianos are incredible, both Synchron Pianos and Studio Pianos.

Our Synchron Voices are pretty cool, and of course the whole Big Bang Orchestra Series also fits really well with Synchron Prime (and will be quite a speed booster)!

Not sure if that made it easier for you now... 😅

Ask away, we'll find a great product for you!

I think it depends on your overall sample library collection too... everything here is orchestral... contemporary also includes synthesizers, electronic percussion, and other elements that you won't find here...

if it's orchestral elements you are looking for, then here they have it all...

I feel like if you are wanting to get into more 'detail', the main libraries will be needed... if you want easy and playable good sound, then maybe things like smart orchestra, Big Bang series...

Personally I'm a big fan of the Studio series because I like the fact that you can mix the reverb to match your project, and in this case the MIR3D product line is a huge benefit. In this side of things, either the Studio Special editions, or main studio collections... and maybe Duality strings from Synchron series since it offers players recorded in studio B which is the same as the Studio collection...
