  • [Solved] Suddenly not getting any audio back from VE Pro 7 into Cubase

I'm not sure if I did something to cause this or not. After months of using VE Pro (one machine) with no problem, suddenly I open my VE Pro and Cubase files and am not getting any audio out of VE Pro.

The midi is being sent to VE Pro and there is audio within VE Pro (the meters are showing audio being produced from the SINE and Kontakt instances). Somehow it's just not getting back to Cubase.

Cubase produces audio within itself. An inserted vst into Cubase will give me expected results. So it seems Cubase is set up right.

Can anyone thing of what I might have changed to make this happen?

My VE Pro settings haven't changed. Everything looks like it did last time I opened preferences.

Thanks in advance for your help.

  • AH! Nevermind. User Error.

Somehow all my vst audio routings in cubase defaulted to "No Output" so none of the return signals from VE Pro were being routed to the master bus out. I must have inadvertently click Q-link when I was trying out a new routing on a particular channel.
