  • celesta pricing

i have an opportunity to buy a 4 octave mustel celesta, in pretty rough shape but restorable. i have been unable to find any others for sale, i was hoping someone could tell me an approximate price range, restored and not. also any tips on where to advertise or market such an obscure instrument. i am trying to decide whether this is something i want to tackle or not. i was unable to find any serial number or date so im not sure of vintage. anything anyone can tell me about these things would be appreciated.

Mustels are like gold dust. I would contact them direct and see if they can give you some info.

  • That's the kind of thing I'd ask the antiques roadshow people [:D]

I did manage to find one that was sold recently by pro-piano for ~$10k fully restored.
