The solo violin (I) is dropping out in an extended note values (I have a conclusion with whole notes/ ritardano and a fermata). . Apparently, it is not looped. No issue with solo viola and cello.
I've tried everything. Bowing marks, ties. I was told it only pertained to p/pp/ppp marking but that didn't prove true.
Is there a fix?

Are you talking of VI instruments ?
Have you try the trick given by VSL ?
You must cut your note into pieces and put a "Pedal on" before it

Check the articulation you are using. VI and SYNCHRON-ized libraries sometimes contain two legatos, one looped, and the other unlooped. The unlooped usually sounds and feels better, but you have to take care of re-triggering the note if you want a longer one.
In Special Edition 1 Violin I only contains the unlooped legato and Violin II comes only with looped legatos.
If you don't want to re-trigger the note yourself I recommend using Solo Violin II instead.

I had the pedal marking working good for a minute---It is better now.
