After changing all my Vienna licenses to iLok and installing all possible updates, I work now on my DAW with Cubase 12 and VEP 7 build 7.3.3725
My setup: 1 Windows PC on which Cubase 12 and the VEP 7.3.3725 server software are running simultaneously.
During the complete last year I had no problems with my setup and the earlier VEP 7 software (builds).
During the last weeks however, the VEP 7.3.3725 server software continuously crashed during my work, at the latest, when I wanted to save projects.
The PC reports: „VEP 7 not answering!“
After several attempts of de- and reinstallation oft the newest VEP 7 software nothing has changed.
My attempt now is to go back to Vienna Ensemble Pro 7 (Windows) build 7.0.1120
However when trying to install, no license is found although my iLok account shows a VEP 7 license.
Can it be - as my VEP 7 license is an „upgrade license“ – that it is limited to only one version of VEP?
Can I probably solve my problem of returning to Vienna Ensemble Pro 7 (Windows) build 7.0.1120, if I buy a new VEP 7 „full license“?
The work of more than half a year is in danger to be lost!!
