  • Database Wiped Out

This morning I found that the Synchon Player database has been wiped out. Is there a faster way to rebuild than adding libraries one by one?

Everything shows as installed in VA and all are activated on iLok.

  • If the libraries are shown as installed in Vienna Assistant, open Preferences in VA, go to Database. If the libraries are shown in the list click "Unhide all". restart the Synchron Player and see if this solves your issue.

If it doesn't solve the issue, close Synchron Player and select "Reset Database".

  • Wow! Thanks Ben!

What would case them all to be hidden?

  • Should only happen if you do it yourself, but it can also happen if the database file gets corrupted (for example if the host or the VA crashes during writing of the file).

  • I have this from time to time when I have a session open with several SY player instances and you loose internet connection for a certain time. It is probably an overkill but running iLok and signing in after internet has reconnected usually solves the issue when you reopen the SY player in your DAW or other software the library is there again.
