    Hi Pbest,

We're making the new lossless versions available for existing users step by step, to provide best download performance. Demo users and new purchases will always get the lossless versions right away.

Will the lossless versions affect streaming performance?

  • No, they will not.

@Paul I’m demoing all the Synchron pianos this week, and I have a question about the “Body” setting in the Synchron Piano player. I couldn’t find the answer in the manual. What “Body” setting will reproduce the natural, unaltered, recorded sound of the pianos? 0%? Or some other value?

  • The body is more like a closer mic placement, with more proximity effect.

It accentuates the body of the instrument (more bass).

So the body should be at 0% to sound exactly as it was recorded?

  • Downloaded all my VSL compressed files. 6 full libraries = barely more than the VSL F308 before lossless compression. 🥳

Thank you VSL for constantly improving your products and for the great deals you offer your customers with discounts and demo licenses. You guys set the standard which other companies should strive for. 👍

    God Bless,

  • my beloved 280vc is only 50GB or something now, that's really amazing, keep this is up vsl

i'm waiting for the next update though (improving the resonance & una corda modeling engine) 😊

  • I hate to have to keep asking about this, but I’m still waiting for an answer from someone at VSL. Should the “Body” setting be at 0% for the raw, unaltered sound of the samples? Or should it be at some other value?

it must be at zero (raw recorded audio)

but for closer sound you can increase the value

Thank you for the reply. I assume it needs to be at zero for raw audio. But it would be nice to get confirmation from someone at VSL.

  • Hi,

Confirmed, 0 body is the natural sound.

  • Greetings, Today I downloaded the Fazioli 308 demo and enjoyed it to the point where I went ahead and purchased the Full Suite of VSL Pianos (taking advantage of the excellent pricing about to expire). My question is should I delete the downloaded F308 files from the external drive and reload it with the other pianos in the suite or will Synchron Pianos automatically know I purchased the F308 and drop the "demo" restriction?

Also, I have all VSL products (Assistant, Synchron Piano and Piano libraries) stored on my external Samsung T9 SSD (4TB). Is this the best way to go for maximum efficiency in the running the products (Should I have some files stored internally on the MBPro)? My laptop is a MBPro with I5 processor.

    Thank you!!

  • The demo licenses were / are really a good opportunity to check the pianos out. Fortunately they weren't deactivated at the end of the piano special if they were activated before. I needed the time to compare the pianos with different settings and lots of different pieces of music to finally decide to buy 2 full versions of the pianos.

Unfortunately their prices are now back to the list prices, so I will wait for the next time the prices are reduced - I guess on black Friday.
