  • Synchron Solo Strings demo challenge - add extracts of Vivaldi

Fingers crossed, VSL's forthcoming Synchron Solo Strings, combined with, say, Synchron Elite Strings, may well elevate VSL's worldwide reputation to even greater heights.

"Bigger is better" has its place, yet so does the charming modesty of chamber strings. And potentially, doesn't the latter deserve by far the larger share when it comes to scoring for the huge majority of film and video productions?

I'm sympathetically mindful of Max Richter's argument that he re-wrote Vivaldi's Le Quattro Stagioni because the original work has been played and played and played to the point of inducing positive aversion. And yet ... though I'm now positively averse to quite a number of famous orchestral works due to over-exposure, Vivaldi's genius for sheer magical charm keeps me coming back for yet more listenings. And it appears I'm by no means alone in this; some of the best performances of Vivaldi on YouTube continue to collect millions of views, for example:–

Conunova with Orchestre International de Geneve (YouTube, 16M views)

Jansen with Amsterdam Sinfonietta (YouTube, 17M views)

Therefore I challenge VSL to maximise the potential market size AND professional use of their Synchron Solo Strings, by commissioning and publishing at least one or more short extracts of Le Quattro Stagioni for demo purposes. (And no I'm not touting for business; life's already way too short, Lol.)
