UI hosed in VE Pro?

I load Cinematic Strings in Kontakt 7 as in 'instrument' in Cubase. UI looks good. I load the same Vln 1 instrument in Kontakt 7 as a plugin in VE Pro 7.3.3610. and the UI is hosed. Screenshots attached. Both Kontakt 7 and Cinematic Strings are very mainstream. Suggestions?

Is the driver of your graphic card up to date?

Make sure the instance is connected to your DAW and the audio engine is running.

Kontakt can't initialize its UI without being connected to a runing audio thread.

So what am I supposed to do? Generally, I have to have VE running before I launch Cubase so all the VE instances will connect properly.

No issue with that. As soon as your DAW connects the instance Kontakt will work just fine and the UI will be fixed.
