  • How to Direct Channels to Sidechains

    Hi all,

I'm trying to put together a drum mix template in VEP 5 that I can load in to any different project as a mixing starting point. It would be very useful if I could control gate plugins using sidechains, whether those sidechain feeds are other audio channels or MIDI notes.

How would I go about setting this up in VE Pro? I am using the reagate-standalone gate that came with Reaper, if that helps, as it was the only gate I could find that would open in VST2 format for VEP 5. It can change between Main Input and Aux Input, but I don't know how to assign a VEP channel to its Aux Input.

    Thanks!

  • I'm sorry to inform you, to the best of my knowledge VEP doesn't support sidechaining 😞

Hopefully they will change that with a future version.
