  • Vienna Power House with 2 GB card

    Hi all,

Yesterday I installed the Demo/trial version of the Vienna Power House. I have a AMD Radeon RX 560 video card with 2 GB memory. I tried VPH on a couple of songs also on a very moderate song and as I already fully expected..... Pufff crash after crash after crash. So I can confirm that VPH wont run on a RX 560 card. Ofcourse I'm not surprised and thanks VSL for the Demo try out option. Can I postpone the Demo version by turning it of in the iLok app? I'm gonna get me a bigger, probably a RTX 3060 card. But as I'm retired now and we all know the pension rates of musicians are peanuts, at least here in the Netherlands, I can't just spend money on new gear just like that anymore. Not at the cost of living at the moment. I keep my fingers crossed and hope the prices of video cards will drop. Thanks for reading and have a wonderfull Christmas holyday!

    Cheers:

    Willem

  • Hi Willem,

The demo license is going to expire 30 days after you activate it. But you can contact support@vsl.co.at once you have your new hardware and want to give it another go. We are happy to unlock a fresh demo license for you, then.

    Happy Holidays to you to!

    Best,
    Andreas

Hi @Mary, RX560 isn't supported, it's too old, so that's why it doesn't work. Please go ahead and upgrade your system if you still are down for GPU acceleration 😎
