  • Note Layers mapping in Synchron Player

    Hello,

I am sometimes sketching in ensemble patches (Elite Strings Tutti-22 or others) and I like to then just copy paste to each section of the quartet. On other libraries (Kontakt, Sine...) you can take midi notes of only 1 channel if you want. So what I do is to assign Violin 1 to midi channel 1, V2 to channel 2, alti to 3, etc. and that works perfectly.

I looked in the Synchron player, but did not find a way : it always take notes of all 16 channels. Any idea ?

I also looked at the DAW level (I mainly use reaper) but could not find a way to make it work.

    Thanks for your ideas !

  • Hi Fabrice,

The Synchron Player is not multi-timbral. You can not assign cells (= patches) to individual MIDI channels.

Hi Andreas, this I know, i am wondering if the Synchron Player can be selective and accept only 1(or more, but selected) midi channel

As far as i understand it right, you can do that in VEP.

You can Split your Midi-Controller in the same way your Sections Playrange, with different Midi-Channels, record that to different Midi-Channels in your DAW, and Route them to VEP where you can select (not more then one) the aproperiate Midi-In-Channels, or "All". Like in Kontakt i think. But it will not sound exactly the same.
