  • Is There A Randomize Round Robins Feature?

    Greetings,

I hope everyone has had a wonderful Holiday season so far!

I was wondering if I am overlooking a randomize round robin feature in the Synchron player for notes (i.e. staccato for the string libraries)? I have come to notice that it's very easy to hear the round robin sequence a bit too easily.

    Cheers,

    Lloyde

  • Hi Lloyde,

We do not have such a feature, but it sounds like a good idea. I'll put it on the list!

May I suggest to not make it true random but preventing the same sample being played multiple times in succession.

I would imagine it like randomizing a sequence of the set of RR samples, working through that sequence, then re-randomizing it and preventing the first sample of the new sequence to be the last sample of the previous one so that the same sample would never play twice.

  • It's by design, that each bounce or playback of a session is guaranteed to render identic results. For strings the sequence of up & down bow is of critical importance - and the sequence of fast repetitions is also important for brass.

That was possibel in VI-Pro2, and its gone with SP, like a lot of other Individuality. I expact thats for easy use saidly gone. A round robin which you can turn on and off would be great(?)

  • I think that's two different features. You describe disabling individual round-robins while the topic creator asked for more variety (by triggering round-robin sequences in random order).

In VIPro2 you was able to organise your own "Repetitions*". Also you was able to skip the First Repetition*.

*I have to say that in VIPro2 there was even a Repetiton Sequence (Perf Rep) which was recorded in a Row of the Player. And you could choosse which one should played. Different Concept. Maybe VSL could provide a combination of this two. But they would have to record Repetitions again.

That combined with the VIPro-System would be even bether.
