    Hi,

    I'm on VEP 7.3.35.02 / Logic Pro 10.8 / ventura 13.6.1 on Macstudio.
    Logic pro & VEP server are on the same computer

    Today, I was trying to mod my VEP template from multi stero outputs to 7.1 outputs.
    My logic song is in 7.1 using VEP AU3 7.1 plugin

    My VEP Masterbus outputing : OUT1-OUT8

    I tested each 7.1 outputs from vep with suround pan pro soloing each channels one by one

    THIS IS THE WEIRD RESULT :


    VEP L=L in Logic
    VEP C = Left Side Surround in Logic
    R = R in logic
    Rs (R side)= Right Rear Surround in Logic
    Rcs (R Back)= Center in Logic
    Lcs (L Back)= NO SIGNAL IN Logic
    Ls (Left Side)= Back left surround in logic

    Havn't tried the SUB

    Is it a config error from me or a routing bug???

    Just tried in 5.1 with VEP AU3 5.1 plugin

    L,R,Ls&Rs are working fine

    BUT : center channel from VEP doesn't send any audio to logic...

    Original AudioUnit (not AU3) doesn't have this issue in 5.1 all channels are corectly routed to Logic.

    BUT I WANT TO BE ABLE TO WORK IN 7.1, AND AU3 IS THE ONLY SOLUTION, as simple AU drop support in 5.1...

    SOLVED !!! (...but via a trick)

    There is definitively a routing bug with VEP AU3 and Logic !!!


    In my case for a 7.1 AU3 Plugin, using a Matrix mixer on the Master buss in VEP ressolve the issue.
    This are the routing settings :

    Havern't tested the sub as I don't use it with VEP

    Now I can properly work in 7.1 in Logic with VEP !

    Please double-check that you are not intermingling 7.1. and 7,1 SDDS (See page 1011 of Logic's User Guide)
