Since Apple silicon has unified memory, are their anything to gain in terms of having less ram usage when using the GPU version of Mir Pro 3D?
Anyone having experinece with this yet?

MIR Pro 3D Powerhouse with Apple Silicon

Hi, saxmand! It's not about RAM usage but about freeing up your CPU for other tasks - by offloading calculations to the GPU cores instead. Vienna Power House can only be used on Apple Silicon Macs at this point.
(And Windows systems with supported GPU cards)

Hi VSL team, dear Paul Kopf:I just want to let you know that I installed the Vienna Power House demo and the results are instantly amazing. Months ago, as a study project, I entered the complete score for Mendelssohn’s “Fingals Cave” in Dorico but I could not play it in full in real-time, may be 12 bars at the most and the audio engine froze. I was seriously considering buying a new Mini-Mac M2 with more RAM, to replace my Mac Mini with M1 chip and just 8GB RAM that I'm using now.But guess what happened! With Vienna Power House installed, amazingly the whole score plays flawlessly for all the 10+ minutes, with MIR-Pro-3D, exactly what I wanted. Finally I am able to compose orchestral pieces with all instruments playing realisticly in live playback, really, really helpful! WOW!!! Can't thank you enough!René Damen (www.renedamen.com)
