  • Vienna Ensemble Pro Crashes when MIR3D is switched from CPU to GPU POWER

    Issue Description:

    1. Load Cubase 12 project using MIR 3D Pro via Vienna Ensemble Pro
    2. Works Fine.
    3. Click the button GPU Power.
    4. A progress indicator start ramping up.
    5. At about 68% Vienna Ensemble Pro disappears from the task bar.
    6. After looking at the forum I re-installed MIR3D & the NVIDIA Drivers.
    7. No Change.
    8. Tried this using several projects none having more that 10 instruments.
    9. All the instruments are VI Series.

    System:

    Processor: AMD Ryzenâ„¢ 9 7950X3D Processor (16X 4.2GHz/128MB L3 Cache)
    Motherboard: ASUS PRIME X670-P WIFI - Wifi 6E, ARGB Header (3), USB 3.2 Ports (1 Type-C, 8 Type-A), M.2 Slot (3)
Memory: 64 GB [32 GB X2] DDR5-6000MHz Memory Module - Certified Major Brand Gaming Memory
    Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 - 16GB GDDR6X (DLSS 3.0 – AI-Powered Performance)
    Operating System: Windows 11 Pro - (64-bit)

    DAW: Cubase Pro 12

OS, Drivers and applications all patched to latest version.

Hi @Meyo, thanks for sharing this info. Did you submit a crash report to VSL as well?

Do you have instructions for providing a crash report?

Does the Vienna Ensemble Pro generate a crash report after it disappears? If yes - please submit it. If not - please start the project from scratch (not load it), does it work in this case?
