I have VEP7.3.3358 installed on a Mac MINI (2018 3.2 GHz 6-core Intel i7 with 64GB RAM) under OS 13.4.1. I am connected to it from DP11 via the newest version of the VEP MAS plugin on a Mac Studio (2022 M1 Ultra with 128 GB RAM) under OS 13.4.1 via 10GB Ethernet.
Ever since installing the latest version of VEP, I have been getting huge CPU spikes on my server computer in the Synchron Player, even when only using a single channel. I get a lot of stuttering and notes clipped off. I have tried changing preload size in Synchron player, multiple reboots of both computers, unloading and reloading samples, disabling and enabling instances, quitting and restarting both DP and VEP, etc., with no change in performance. When I have the Synchron player window open, the little CPU indicator icon frequently flashes red and opening its window shows multiple spikes. Is there something else I need to try? Is the previous version of VEP still available?
