VEP 7 with different Midi Ports on Logic does not work here

Hello ,

I tried desperately to connect to anything else than Port 1 Channel 1.

When I set the Instrument in VEP to Port1/Channel one, I can hear the Instrument . Anything else cannot be heard. I see that VEP7 still is receiving Midi, but there is not sound.

Im on a Mac Studio M1 with Ventura 13.2.1 and Logic 10.7.9. VEP(native) and Logic are running on the same machine.

I downloaded the Logic Port Presets (2015) from the VSL Server. Do they still work?

What is going wrong here?

Hi!

Usually, people forget to either set the correct MIDI channel/output also inside the plugin itself as well. If you struggle settings things up, you might want to send a few screenshots to support@vsl.co.at. I added an example screenshot with Kontakt, which is multi-timbral.

I certainly checked that. I loaded my templates from years ago. And they all worked back in 2016.

But the Native Version on M1/2 has problems with supporting multiple ports.

Or is anyone here with a working system? (Logic 10.7.9 and VE Pro7 on one machine with Ventura?)

Paul vom Support meint, AU3 wird hoffentlich die Lösung des Problems sein.

You are right, this combination currently doesn't work. 
Hope we can present a solution in the coming weeks. I have already sent you the AU3 template (that unfortunately still produces hanging notes here and there).

[Assigning Midi Out Ports on Logic for Multi Output via VEP7]

i have exactly same issue and it seems there is no solution for that yet as it's a Logic Pro issue that they have not implemented. So MultiPorts with MultiOutputs for Logic is not possible.
