I listened yesterday to Alex Temple's VSL version of Mahler 5,3. It was easy to forget that I was listening to computer programmed instruments, it is that good!
My question is about dynamics using VSL.
Forgive my ignorance, but generally how are those kinds of dynamics / expression achieved? I would be using VI Special Edition 1+2.

The Synchron Player offers three main faders to control your dynamics:
- Velocity Crossfade (VelXF) fades between the recorded dynamic layers of the instrument.
- Timbre Adjust allows you to further finetune the timbre without changing the volume too much.
- Expression is % of the volume and is also used to further finetune dynamics in combination with VelXF.
