  • [SOLVED] Synchron Player not responding in Logic Pro

Hi all, I've already contacted support directly about this, but wondered if any of you have experienced similar issues.

I’ve installed the latest version of Synchron Payer on my M1 Max MacBook Pro, and when Logic is in ‘Open in Rosetta’ mode, the player doesn’t respond to incoming MIDI.

The player loads samples as normal, and if I press the keyboard on the UI, the sounds play.

I’ve done some tests, and the player does work correctly when Logic is in ’native’ mode. It also works in Studio One (AU) and Cubase (VST) on my system.

So it appears to be only when Logic is opened in Rosetta that the issue occurs. Has this happened to anyone else?

    Synchron Pianos works fine.

My system specs are: MacBook Pro M1 Max, macOS Monterey 12.2.1. 64 GB RAM. Logic 10.7.2.

  • I have tested using Logic Musical typing and the Logic on screen keyboard with exactly the same M1Max MBP with 64GB. The Synchron Player (I used Elite Strings as library) now works in both native and Rosetta on my machine. The previous version did not pass the native test by the way but now it works.

What does not work is using the keyboard in the synchron Player to record. It does produce sound but no recording. Unfortunately I am not in my studio. So could not check with my NI KK keyboard.

  • Thanks so much for checking on that Macros.

I'm at a loss as to what is causing it. The Synchron player appears to be working fine in Rosetta for everyone else.

I could of a reinstall of my system, but it's an awful lot of work for one plugin not working in one situation.

  • UPDATE:  Problem solved.

It was enabling 'MIDI 2.0' in Logic that was causing all the bugs in Synchron Player.

  • Thank you so much jon_wright!

I've been having the same problem and support just stopped responding to me.

    Glad it helped Bryan!

I didn’t even get a response from support, which I wasn’t very impressed with.

I ended up doing a complete reinstall of my system, just to find out it was one little checkbox.

YES! This exact same thing is happening to me on my Mac Studio Max with Studio One and Synchron Player. I have good data flowing from the Sparrow Fader controllers into Studio One. But SP doesnt respond. I am also running Rosetta so I can take  advantage of the Sound Variation link between SP and Studio One.

I wonder if there is a similar function in Studio One I can alter?
