Hello,
I know that it must have been discussed already in some threads but I would finally like to get some time line for native M1/M2 compatibility of Synchron Pianos.
Here is a bit of background. I have a specific setup - I use Roland FP-90X digital piano as a MIDI controller but at the same time it constitutes a Digital Audio Interface for my computer (I use one USB cable that carries MIDI signal to the computer running VSL software and carries back digital signals to DAC of FP-90X; I use its amp and speakers as well and I use Local Control OFF). Anyway my PC (12 core Intel Xeon and 64GB RAM) did not work. There was an unacceptable delay between pressing a key and the sound. I worked with support to address the issues but the problem was not resolved. I need to use my old MacBook Air (Intel based) that unfortunately is below required specs although in reality it works very well. I want to upgrade to a Mac Mini, MacBook Pro or even Mac Studio but obviously I am not going to get an Intel based system
Unfortunately there is still no native M1/M2 compatibility of Synchron pianos and I am not going to use Rosetta.
It have been almost TWO YEARS since M1 architecture was introduced. How long can it take to recompile the software packages (I was a hardware/software engineer before I retired)? I am surprised and disappointed to say the least.
My question is about planned M1 native compatibility of VSL products.
Thank you,
Michael
