Vienna Instrument to Vienna Instrument Pro

As a long user of solo strings since 2008, I wonder if the saved patches will be still recognised by Vienna instrument Pro ?

Do you have any issues about this subject ?

All your custom presets will be loaded and sound exactly the same in VI PRO as they did in VI.

Hi Paul - will this only work if you download the "Vienna Instruments Pro for VI" Compatibility Version?

The compatibility version takes care that your VI_non_Pro instances are converted correctly.

Hi,

Not sure this thread is for what I'm searching for. Just going by the title.

In any case, I have VI SOLO STRINGS I Standard Library, SOLO STRINGS II Full Library & SOLO STRINGS I Extended Library, which worked beautifully in Dorico 3.5 along with the Symphonic Riot Articulation Presets I also got.

Moving forward to this year, once iLok  and Dorico 4.0 came into play, all I had stopped working.

Now I finally will get the updated articulation presets that work with VST3 iLok.

I see in Vienna Assistant that there are two versions of VI Pro sample Player. Is the one that's labeled "Compatibility Version" the one I'll be using from now on?

Hi Algae, 

Please install BOTH versions, so you're on the safe side for all possible compatibility situations. You will see "only" one VI Pro to select.
