- Logic can now capture MIDI data from AUv3 plug-ins as regions
This seems to work from AU2 plugins also, not sure why they mentioned AU3 in the release notes. However, it only does this for live midi as you play it in. You cannot process track midi regions through plugins and and have the result recorded back to a new region. Its simply a way to insert part or all of the midi plugin stuck in front of the sequencer.
The first thing you mentioned regarding Create new track with next midi channel is great news, glad to hear they did that, it should be a lot easier for people to construct large multi-port AU3 templates now.
