  • ViPro player compatibility and new Mac OS's

I'm a huge fan of ViPro player. (Mainly because it is massively controllable and customizable - and I can control from an ipad!)

I'm not such a fan of Synchron player (mainly because it's not as flexible and the volume still doesn't go down to zero like it can on ViPro player - and I can't control it from an ipad!!)

I'm in the market for some new kit but realise that I'm going to have to jump through several hoops compatibility-wise to make it all work. (eg: I have Access Virus but the Ti software is not supported in later versions of Mac OS). There are bound to be others.

Is there anything in the VSL lineup that I ought to be aware of going forward? Something that will break on Big Sur? Or wherever they are now...

If ViPro player doesn't work for example that would be somewhat a deal breaker..

    HI Richard,

I see that you have not made the switch to iLok yet, so I have to ask: Do you intend to stay with eLicenser?

If you want to switch, here are the exceptions, with MIR Pro 3D actually solving the "classic" MIR Pro dilemma.

No troubles with our current iLok software under Big Sur, some improvements still in the pipeline (performance, loading time).

    Best,
    Paul
