about abolition of old unregistered package licenses

if try to register old Vienna Instruments package license, it will not register with this message below

VSL The Serial Number for this Standard Library is deactivated

they said they had abolitioned the old unregistered package licenses

package production has been discontinued, but Vienna Instruments are still not discontinued

I don't understand this. why should released package license be abolitioned?

Hello Ryo, 

We have deactivated all license numbers of physical products that were still in stock out there when we stopped selling physical products. I think it was in 2007, IIRC. None of our dealers or distributors has sold physical products since then.

Someone may have bought it before then and kept it without register

Hi, 

We have only deactivated licenses that were NOT sold by authorized dealers. 
As we have discussed in the mails we exchanged, at least we need to know who you purchased from. A receipt will also help a lot. So far, I simply don't have the background information that would be necessary to solve this case.

really exist, and those who get them are harmed

most people would think that a sealed brand new package would be fully working able

by what route was it supplied? and if so, is it not company fault?

now it more than 10 years have passed, may no people can proof about authorized dealer receipt/etc
