    I'm wondering if there are memory bugs in VEP7.1.12.37 ?

    I have a server project with 7 instances, 4 without content.
    A grand total of 10 Kontakt are spread amoung 3 instances.
    All are purged.

    Memory usage: 6 777 MB. For zero sample loaded in memory.

    Is it normal? At this rate there won't be any memory available to load any samples when the orchestral template is finished.

    Are there tools or available rules of thumb to plan memory usage?

    OK my first tests tend to show that actually, Kontakt instances take a lot of memory.

    Test with S1 show that OPUS does take a lot less memory, although still a few hundred MB per instance.

    I haven't had time to reproduce with VEP7, but I expect even less memory usage of OPUS in VEP7.
