  • Synchron Player and Monterey Issues

I recently updated to MacOS Monterey and now have no playback with the Synchron Player, in Logic. It works in standalone mode and when I open the instrument window in Logic, I can click on the keyboard, at the bottom and it works. However, when I try playback, the Logic keyboard, or a MIDI controller through Logic, I get nothing.

I had the same issue after updating with the Synchron Piano, but after uninstalling and then reinstalling everything, the piano plug-in is working. The Synchron Piano was updated in January, while the Player hasn't been updated since December. I wondering if this is the reason why the Piano is working.

I've tried multiple other plug-ins and they all work just fine.

I've tried support, but have received very little help.

  • I have the same problem here. Do you fix it yet? I have no idea because other instruments works only Vsl Instruments not in Logic. Stand alone is working. ?

  • Hi guys,

Please get in touch with our support team with specific questions: support@vsl.co.at

We're in the middle of a major technology switch, but we will help if you provide some basic information, screenshots and reproduction steps.

    All the best,
    Paul

  • After multiple, lengthy calls to Apple Support at the senior tech support level, the only current solution for me was to downgrade to Big Sur. Apple's 12.3 release is causing problems with a lot of significant applications. In my case there were two notable ones: Digital Performer and Adobe products. Monterey 12.3 disrupted access to external drives, complaining that there were insufficient permissions or the drives were READ-ONLY. When that was not the case.

Downgrading to Big Sur turned out to be complicated, but so far it seems to have worked. But its early days.
