  • Latest VA not installing latest VEP update

[Now using iLok3 USB Key and able to boot between High Sierra, Big Sur and Monterey with ease and not a thought about licensing or internet, like in the old days with eLicenser. Bliss.]

Just updated VA to 1.0.121 and saw 2 Updates available. First I activated the Synchron Piano Player update and that went fine and as expected. VA then showed 1 Update available, which was for VEPro.

Next, after activating the VEPro update, downloading occurred but then it did not install. I tried repeating VA's update operation several times in Big Sur and once in Monterey. Each time the update progress abruptly ended immediately after 100% download, and the downloaded package disappeared from my download location. But VEPro itself was not updated from 7.1.1220, and VA still notified an update available for VEPro.

I worked around this by setting VA Prefs to Download Only, and downloaded VEPro again. Then I quit VA and installed the newly downloaded VEPro package manually in the usual way, which went fine and as expected. My VEPro is now updated to 7.1.1239. VA Updates notifier now shows none available. Sorted.

One little thing more. VA now says I have VEPro 7.1.1237 installed, but my new VEPro itself says it is 7.1.1239.
