    Hi!

    This highly depends on your usual workload.
    Personally, at this point I would go with the 5900X and safe the €230 for a future system upgrade.

    I'm not the kind of composer working with 100's of tracks in his template, I'm more of a traditional composer so to speak, so not 30+instances in VE Pro. I already was thinking in the direction of 5900X, also beacuse tests do show some better performance with the 5950X, but it's not that this is crucial to build a modern, futureproof system. Still not sure whether to go for the Intel i9-12900 or the 5900X. Will dive into that in the near future.

    That's weird, but I can read it. It looks like a decent build! Somehow I lean to a Fractal Design case, but that's just a matter of taste, as I have one now too and am very happy with it. I will take a look at difference in specs for the hardware between your build and the one I'm aiming at; if the price difference is to big to justify a higher investment price, I might as well copy your build. I think I will feel a huge improvement with that system compared to my own pc now. And based on that you say it runs very well, that's the best argument.

    Actually, that system drive is the one I had trouble with; didn't always boot. I ended up swapping in a WD_BLACK 1TB SN750 SE NVMe, which solved the issue.

    Okay, thanks for the update. Almost all my drives are Samsung, never have any issues with then, but when your system doesn't boot, that's really frustrating. I've checked the price for a system based on yours, but still leaning towards the Ryzen 5900X.
