  • msvcp140 --- previous threads don't fix !!!

    This sucks. Plain and simple.

So I have been at this 5 damn hours now. trying to get VSL Pro 7 installed on my windows 10 box.

HP z440 , its an E5 series Xeon, so it's not new, not expensive anymore and works fine for everything else.

    Steps :

    1. install windows 10

    2. install vslpro 7

    3. get msvcp140.dll error....uninstall, install vc++ 2015 x86 and x64

    4.re-install vsl...get error again.

    5. google every which way to get that dll installed and for vol to see that stupid file.

    6....REPEAT

    Please just make this work.

  • after the 7th try..its working.

    nothing was done different.

    new windows 10 install, etc....

  • More Detail:

Windows explorer is not showing any of my Macs in the network

Microsoft RDP will allow me to connect to the Windows 10 pc, and when I do "Connect To Server" in Mac I can also see it that way. The macOS machines see each other just fine and screen share all day long.

But VSL will NOT see my windows machine.

    Setup:

    DAW - iMac - manual ipv4

vsl one 2013 Mac Pro manual ipv4

vsl two 2013 Mac Pro manual ipv4

    vsl three ( HP z440 ) also manual ipv4

Odd note : windows bitches about a gateway, but its NOT connected to the outside world. its connected to a switch. The switch is also NOT connected to the outside world.

What do you windows users do when you get or install a fresh windows OS ? say 10 or now 11?
