Hi Paul,
Thanks a lot for your reply. Am attaching the mp3 here and will send it to email as well.
Hi Neelesh,
Do you want to add an example mp3 or send that to support@vsl.co.at?
Best,
Paul

@Neelesh I have experienced the same thing and reported it a few weeks ago (along with a example that sounds similar to yours). It seemed it was only happening to me when I was using the VST3 version of the Synchron Player in VSTHost. I initially thought it could be aliasing, but I was told it was probably flanging/phasing like you stated. I don't really agree with this since I wasn't using a flanger/phaser in the chain anywhere (and rarely do). No real conclusion was made, other than it seemed unlikely that there would be too many others out there specifically using the VST3 version VSTHost, if any.

I was experiencing the the same issue. Standalone Player seems to work fine, but getting flanging issues when running VST3 or VST2 plugin in Studio One 5. Read Paul's suggestion and saw that I had two instances of my MIDI keyboard listed in the External Devices. Removed one of them and problem was solved.

I have heard the same problem here - Elite Strings mostly, but I've heard it in Synchron Pro as well. It happens mostly when using Vibrato XFades, even with a single mic. It sounds like the transitions are not phase aligned to one another. It is very audible and has severely limited how much I can use Elite/Synchron Pro vs other string libraries.

Hi,
I also experienced this issue. I think the flanging is affecting all patches, but is obviously better noticeable when playing long notes. I use a StudioLogic SL88 Studio master keyboard and had this issue when the master keyboard was connected with USB to my DAW. When I connected the SL88 with midi cables to my sound card, the issue disappeared. Never investigated it any further.

Hello,
I had the same issue highlighted in the mp3 file and the cause was an improper manual setup of either my DAW or instrument patches in Synchron Player (colliding MIDI channels, colliding CCs...).
Regarding instead the Xfade related one I read on another forum that somebody resolved it by zero-ing the humanize tuning slider. I'll try that as soon as possible.

I had the same issue with my StudioLogic SL88 Grand. I also have a Native Instruments S88 and it doesn't have the same issue with VSL. I tried updating the StudioLogic's firmware, but it didn't help. I haven't tried using a MIDI cable instead of the USB cable yet, but I'll try that next. I'm wondering if the problem could also have been the type of USB cable I was using, because I was using the Native Instrument's S88 USB cable for the StudioLogic keyboard.

After some more testing, I was able to verify that this is an issue with the Vienna Synchron Player when using the StudioLogic SL88. The issue also exists with Synchron Pianos, which makes the pianos sound hollow and tin-like. I was able to fix the issue by using a MIDI cable instead of a USB cable. I tried swapping out my USB cable for a brand new one, but the same issue exists. So, there is a workaround, but it's definitely a compatibility issue with VSL's software. It doesn't occur with Komplete Kontrol keyboard controllers, only with StudioLogic's.

Hi! Could it be that your master keyboard (when used with USB connectivity) can utilize multiple key range zones? Meaning, that those could happen to overlap, and then the flange sound you are hearing is actually phasing of those overlapping notes?

That was the problem, and tweaking those settings on the StudioLogic keyboard fixed it, thanks!
For anyone who stumbles upon this thread and is wondering what the fix is, you only want one of these four preset blocks enabled. I had all four selected, which was sending out overlapping signals. I had to toggle the cursor onto #2, 3, and 4 and press down on the selection knob to disable them.
