    Hi all,

    Here's the 4th and final movement of my trio, written in the Zigane-scale (except the middle part). It's recorded with solely VI Pro (full) instruments (flute 1, viola solo and cello solo). Like the other parts, the hall is the Schubert Saal, close recording. Enjoy the listen!

  • Ah Jos, this darling little piece spoke directly and easily to my heart and lifted my spirits - just when I was in serious need of a lift (battling with dreadful technical problems in my work, internet keeps dropping to dial-up speeds, and my sleep was badly disrupted last night). 

    Using such simple elements, you've created a tiny powerhouse of musical enjoyment. I've listened all through 4 times and it spoke freshly to me each time. It has the magic. It is something pretty special.

    your composition is truly wonderful and your programming skills are fantastic. This stuff is really hard to render via MIDI no matter the quality of the software.

    Indeed, it requires quite some insight in the samples, but mainly a lot of critical sense and self-criticism if you want to get near to a live performance. But it must be said, the VSL (here VI full) samples are outstanding for such delicate music. Orchestral music is a lot of work because of the quantity of instruments and notes, whereas small chamber ensembles demand a lot more accurateness and experience with the patches (and knowledge of the instruments and their techniques as such). It looks simple, but as you know, it isn't!
