Hello,
In building a new VEP server, I have installed several Steinberg VSTs that all work except for Groove Agent. It simply does not show up at all. Its in the same VST folder with all the rest but no luck.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Ashley

Well, here it is straight from the site:
"Support for VST, AU and AAX plug-in formats means Groove Agent 5 can be used with virtually any DAW."
Now maybe "virtually" singles out VEP as a non compatible host but I would think VST support should work.

Hi Ashley,
Isn't Groove Agent supposed to work in Cubase only?
Best,
Paul
Yes I know, I use Groove Agent 5 with VEP7 with no problems.... VST2 version of Groove Agent need the VST3 version to work....
But VE Pro actually does NOT work with VST3 plug-ins (still), you will need VST2.
Hi, Paul!
How is that possible that I have VST3 working in VEPro?
My setup has Halion 6, Halion Sonic and some other already VST 3.6.13, but Groove Agent SE is VST 3.6.10 and it doesn't show up in the list of available instruments in VEPro. Or maybe all of these VST3 plugins have their VST2 versions installed too and only Groove Agent don't?
By the way VEPro shows any VST2 including NI Massive, Massive X and others.
What I did today - ignored this and added Abbey Road Modern Drum sample lib by NI. Now this is somehow fixed, but for other projects it would be nice to have everything more compatible. But if it's not the VSL issue, then we should dig deeper in our sandbox! Sorry 😊
Best Regards

Groove Agent SE is included with Cubase and does NOT work with other DAW's. You have to upgrade to the full Groove Agent 5 in order to use in other DAW's
Halion Sonic SE does work in other DAWs, but Groove Agent SE does not.
My understanding is that if you have a Halion full license you might be able to also get a free upgrade from Groove Agent SE to Groove Agent 5, but check with Steinberg about that.

No, it seems it's not possible. I have almost everything from Absolute 4, but bought separately. I don't have Groove Agent 5. But I don't see any option that allows me to get GA5 as you mentioned. Can you give a link to that information?
