  • Vinnea Suite not showing as VST plun-in in Vienna Ensemble

I'm trying to get the Vienna Suite to show up in VE however it doesn't seem to pull through. I'm running VE 6.5.18935 and Vienna Suite 1.5 build 3329 on Windows 10. I am useing VE 64-bit and installed VST2 only plugins in 64-bit of the Vienna Suite.

As a side note the Vienna suite is also not showing up in Cubase 8.5.

I have tried uninstalling and re-installing Vienna Suite but get the same issue that the plug-ins don't show. When I do a scan a splash screen comes up and in the corner of it I can see it flash through the names but they don't populate in the list afterwards.

Is this a known problem or is there anything I am missing to get this to work?

    Cheers

    Anderw

  • Hi Andrew,

this sounds a lot like missing path-information. Have you made sure that all applications "know" about the location of the *.dll's?

If that's not the problem please get in contact with support@vsl.co.at . I'm sure that VSL's support team will sort out the issue swiftly.

    Have a great Sunday,

  • Hey Dietz

    Thanks for the quick reply

I installed the *.dll's in the default place on the first try and on my second attempt set them to a manually created folder, on both attempts I added the VST files path to the list in VE, clicked rescan and the program came back with nothing.

Is this something I should log with support in this instance?

    Cheers

    Andrew

  • Yes please. It's hard to offer meaningful system-specific support on a public forum.

    All the best,

  • Hi, Andrew,

I am having the same problem as posted in this thread. My Vienna Suite plugins are not showing up in either the stand alone version of VE or when used in an instance of VE inside of Cubase 5.5.3. This was not an issue until the past 6 months. I haven't been doing a lot of work with it so it hasn't been an issue, but I want to get it figured out. Everything else is working great.

I have Vienna Suite dll's scanned, yet VE doesn't see them. I would love to get this figured out. Thanks! Hope you are all having a great year and enjoying yourselves!!

    Blessings, Sam

  • Andrew,

Following up on my recent post....
Problem fixed. Idiot mistake on my part. I missed a small variation in the path name. I now have the correct path and the plugins are showing up like they are designed to. Glad to save you the time of needing to look into this with me.

    Blessings,

    Sam

  • Hey Sam

Glad you got everything working, for me I still seem to be having is in VE however I have recently updated Cubase to v11 and now all the plugins are showing there so it's not an issue for me anymore.

    Cheers

    Andrew

  • Andrew,

I'm glad your issue resolved as well. Happy music making!

    Blessings,
