I'm confused by the paradigm/metaphor used in VE Pro (7) when it comes to multi-timbral instances.
I like to have separate outs for each individual instrument. So I create the Plugin channel (it defaults to main outputs 1/2), set it to 'Any' midi channel. I add the plugin (Omnisphere, Kontakt, Play, whatever), select a patch, say, 'Piano', and I also name the Plugin channel 'Piano'. I then add an Aux channel, select a 2nd patch in the instrument, set it to outputs 3/4, and name the Aux channel the name of that 2nd patch. But then I look and the 'target' of that Aux channel is something like 2 Piano 3 or whatever the name of the Plugin channel above it. Which makes it hard to scan the list of channels and know whether it's a Kontakt patch or whatever because it's target is the name of another patch, not the name of the plugin it's going to (or some name I've entered). I suppose I could name the Plugin channel 'Kontakt' or something, but then it totally hides the fact that the patch 'Piano' is coming out of the main channels of that plugin.
It just seems super awkward to have it this way and makes me think that maybe i'm doing something wrong?
Any suggestions are much appreciated!
