Marcato slider in Synchron Strings Pro?

What is the purpose of the Marcato slider routed to CC3 in 1st violins Synchron Strings Pro?

To control the marcato, e.g, in the Ponticello Tremolo marcato.

I wanted to control the legato/long attack-marcato with CC3 and found it already in use.

Can you recommend a CC for that?
