Forgive me if this is duplicative of an existing thread. But this same question just came up for me, and since the existing thread is long and a bit confusing, I want to lay out the question slightly differently, and I don't want it to get lost in the shuffle. This does concern the same ambiguity that prompted someone to start the earlier thread.
I received my Vienna Protection Plan expiration warning today. I have two covered license keys; my current plans expire on 02 Nov 2020. I acted on the reminder, and purchased my new two year plans today. I have not yet activated them. Which of the three following statements is true:
- My new plans will expire on 05 Oct 2022 (two years from today, the purchase date), even though I have not yet activated them.
- My new plans will expire two years from the day I actually activate them on my licenses.
- My new plans will expire on 02 Nov 2022 (two years after the expiration date of my existing licenses), even if I activate them before 02 Nov 2020.
It must be the case that only one of the above statements is true—can you please clarify, which one is it? :-)
Thanks,
Peter
