Processing audio with MIR

How can I import an audio file into ensemble pro so I can process it using MIR?

you can't import audio into VePro and play it back.

You don't need to use VePro in order to use MirPro.  you could use the native MirPro plugin directly in your DAW for that purpose.

You could potentially using some kind of third party wave file player plugin and host that inside VePro and perhaps play the audio file that way through VePro and MirPro..if you are wanting to use it on the same stage as other instruments you're hosting in VePro, for example.  I don't have any reccomendations for a third party wave file player plugin, but its the only solution I can think of.

Hi Mike,

like mentioned by fellow user Dewdman42, the easiest way to use MIR Pro with any kind of audio source is its plug-in version, which can be instantiated in your DAW as a conventional track-insert.

If you prefer to stay within Vienna Ensemble for one reason or the other, then the way to bring in your audio source is the "VE Audio Input"-plug-in that gets installed with VE. You have to use this plug-in as an audio insert, too, but it will interrupt the audio stream in the DAW´s track and send it over to VE where it will be available as additional input source. - Just be aware that this puts quite some strain on the CPU, because VSL`s software engineers had to use massive code magic to make this happen at all. 8-)
