  • Hi Vadim,

    Thanks for the reminder.
We'll check what's going on there, and how long the reset time is. Do you get the same result if you wait a few seconds between playback?

EDIT: Reset time is usually 3 seconds... can be tricky with loops, agreed.

  • Paul,

These all sound amazing, especially the taikos.

    A few questions:

    1) Does the new Output Config feature of the Synchron Player apply only to the close mics of the patches in which the feature is available, or can you also reposition the mid mic layer as well? (Or, am I misunderstanding how this works...does each drum have a close mic *and* a mid mic, or is the mid mic for the ensemble as a whole?  If so, do you just turn off the mid mic when re-panning the individual drums so as not to confuse the stereo imaging?)

    2) Does this new feature extend to relevant patches of Synchron Percussion I - like the med. Timpani hits or the concert toms?

    3) Might there be a video walkthrough or demonstration of this feature going up soon?

I'm very interested in this feature and the potential to create an authentic, traditional taiko drum layout.

    - Sam

  • Hi Sam,

    Here are a few answers:

    1) Yes, you get more flexibility there, and repositioning the mid mic layer is possible, but rather tedious. Mid mic position is always the same (also for bigger instruments / sections like Timpani).

    2) Yes, if you apply the Library Update for SY perc I, this feature will be available for Timpani and Concert Toms.

    3) These new options have been implemented pretty straight-ahead in the libraries. Let's see how much demand there is for a walkthrough.

    Paul

Yes, if I wait a few seconds, result is same. Waiting a few seconds - as if the functionality of the accelerator and brake pedals in a car were interrupted for advertising)) Also there are different results between playback and mixdown, if RR notes are spreads across the music with long pauses.

  • Hi Vadim,

We will look into it next week!

    Hello Viennese,

great additions In the last months! And this is truly a Highlight. I bought everything and will finally download A LOT this WE.

2 questions aren’t left since most percussion instruments are recorded now. Are Marimba and Concert chimes a topic for an update/upgrade or are the percussions β€žIm Kastenβ€œ and ended now?

Thanks and keep recording BBO Libraries πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘

    Hi LAJ,

Glad to see you happy, and thanks for sharing your joy πŸŽ‰

We will never stop recording, but we cannot talk about products that don't exist (yet)...

    Paul

  • Hello LAJ!

Concert chimes are included in Synchron Percussion I. They are called tubular bells there which is just a different name for the same instrument.

    Hello everybody,

We finally managed to upload more detailed walkthrough, with a focus on the sounds themselves.

Find them in the video section of Synchron Percussion II!

    Enjoy,
    Paul

  • I'm interested too Andreas, I'm loving the instruments I already have in the synchron player.

But I already have a lot of VI percussion, and to my casual review it seems to be a lot more comprehensive instrument list - am I correct? Will Synchron grow over time to be as extensive as VI, or should they be seen as partners?

And..... could you please record some bongos for me!

    Cheers,

    Barton.

Thank you, Paul.  These are very helpful toward fully appreciating what Synchron Percussion II offers.

  • Hello Barton!

The VI Percussion collection contains a few more instruments than Synchron Percussion I+II, but Synchron Percussion has been sampled more in depth. Furthermore Synchron Percussion comes with the great acoustics of our Synchron Stage and lots of Mixer-Presets that make the instruments usable for any situation instantly. As far as your wish for Bongos and more is concerned, we'll see what time brings.

    Best regards,
    Andi
