  • [SOLVED] VEPro 7 Instance names not reflected in Cubase 10.0.6

    Hi all,

as I saw in various Youtube videos, the name of a VEPro instance is (was?) reflected in the label of rack instruments and midi ports in Cubase. No matter what I try, I can't get this work. Instance labels are always 'Vienna Ensemble Pro' prefixed by a number. This behaviour makes working with VEPro in Cubase a rather confusing experience.

I'm running Cubase Pro 10.0.6 and VEPro 7 1.0.1056 under Windows 10. Am I missing something? Is it a bug?

    Thanks for your help

  • I think, I found the solution. It seems there is no automatic labelling of the rack instance in Cubase. I was not aware that double clicking the rack instrument's name in the rack in Cubase allows my to change the name of the plugin. This new name is then reflected in the midi ports etc.
