  • NKS Problems

I have a NI Komplete Kontrol S61 keyboard and was pleased to. Be told that VSL was compatible with NKS so I found and installed the NKS software for my library ( Synchron-ized SE Vol 1)

    I’ve had some problems

In most instruments, the Keyboard is recognised and the blue and pink articulation keys show but the playing keys don’t sound though they move in keyboard view at the bottom of the Komplete software ( screenshot )

In a small number of instruments it all seems to work as it should.

All the VSL previews work well and loudly when I scroll through them on the keyboard and all my other plug-ins and synths etc including one other orchestral library work fine

I then read in the VSL site that NKS didn’t work properly with Synchron - ized libraries and to use Maschine. Anyway, I tried scanning to Maschine but I got the licence error message saying my e-licence wouldn’t allow it.

It’s been frustrating, I’m hoping its a simple error on my part but I can’t see where it would be and I’m not sure if I should just give up or if there is a solution. Anyone able to help?

Thank you for any advice you can give me

    William

  • Hi willie45,

Sorry to hear about the troubles.

Seems like that screenshot didn't make it in the posting.

Please contact us directly via support@vsl.co.at with more details about your OS and user versions (version numbers, please).... screenshots and video links will also be helpful.

    Thanks,
    Paul

  • Hi Paul

Thank you. I have been touch with support and they are responding. I suspect the issue is my installation of NI software and the way I've installed the libraries as I've had issues with another couple of products ( Not VSL ones but from other manufacturers ) and NKS . I'm on a bit of a learning curve with all this technology.

In the meantime I've decided to reinstall most of the NI stuff I have to see if it helps
