Hi,
I've been able to reproduce, and have MOTU reproduce, and another Digtital Performer user reproduce the folling issue:
My system is a 2013 MacPro running Mojave with a PC Slave. I'm running VEP 7 (not the current update)
I am reproducing the issue using the VEP MAS plug in a 16 instance, 16 channel template not actually connected to VEP instruments locally and on the slave. Beachballs are frequently appearing when I toggle from one channel to the next. Reordering midi or audio tracks induces a hang with a beachball. Video demo here: https://cdn-data.motu.com/django_prod/techlink-attachments/152540/IMG_0505.mov
Here are some video demonstrations that shows how using the VEP MAS plug in a 16 instance, 16 channel template causes sluggishness and a beach ball when moving an audio track. The other video shows how using Kontakt instances (same configuration) does not cause this issue.

Perhaps it's bad with VEP MAS instead of AU because of the number of auxiliary audio outputs and/or MIDI ports that VEP MAS exposes.
With AU version of VEP, the issue has improved greatly, no beach balls. Would love to have the multi-port feature that the MAS version offers but it seems like I need to use the AU version for now.
Is this addressed in the latest update?
Thanks,
Dave
