Congrats on this one, sounds good!

Hi Bill,
you are right, it is Barry Gray, the faithful composer of Gerry Anderson ...
-
Sounds Great !
Are you using Sordino Strings here ? It reminded me of Bernard Hermann's film music.
-
Hi Musiksclulp,
No, no sordino strings here, but the VSL strings were layered with some Spitfire strings, to try to come as close as possible from the original sound (60's ...)

Hi Philippe,
I see. For some reason, my first impression was that they sounded a bit like they are sordino strings, or a mix of sordino with non-sordino strings when I heard this piece, maybe its the layering effect.
Thanks,

Very handsomely and elegantly done, Philippe. I watched a lot of Gerry & Sylvia Anderson productions and your Fanfare took me straight back there without question or quibble. Great authenticity.
I regard Barry Gray and the Andersons as being all about going the extra mile to put love, care and accessibility, as well as all the thrills and spills, into TV entertainment for kids. Thanks so much for your fine salute to those times.

Thanks Macker for your kind comment. It's always a pleasure to speak with somebody who knows and appreciate the music of Barry GRAY. Great composer, totally underrated.
For you, as a small gift, an extract of the Space 1999 score. Enjoy !

This (and also your other mock-ups) sound(s) amazing!
May I ask which settings you used in MIR Pro? This is exactly the sound (dry/wet ratio) I like and I'm trying to achieve. Often I simply don't know which settings to use. Maybe you could share your MIR Pro template or do a walkthrough? :)

Thanks Pixelpoet1985 for listening.
In fact, this project is not mixed in Mirpro, but in Altiverb 7, Teldex Venue - 5m (and a drop of Miracle 😉). This is a pretty close mix in fact.I was looking for something as close as possible of the original thing.
Best.
