I have run out of space on the SSD in my PC slave that is for storing sample libraries. I just purchased the two latest BBO percussion libraries and need to put them somewhere. I have enough space on the 2nd internal drive of my main computer which is also used for sample storage. However the unfortunate fact that Vienna do not allow software/machine licenses means that I cannot put them there because the eLicenser key needs to be on the PC to run VEPro and the other BBO libraries etc. I am reluctant to buy a 2nd USB key which I would only use for the two BBO libraries on the Mac. Also, buying another drive seems over the top and not necessary generally at the moment.
I also have Epic Orchestra 2 installed on the PC's SSD. Although it is a good library, I won't be using it as much as the other libraries I own. I have plenty of space on the PC's system drive so I was wondering if it would be acceptable in terms of performance to move E. O. 2 there which would free up over 70 GB of space on the SSD. Would I be likely to run into performance issues if I was using it only occasionally and minimally? Thanks.
I also have a few usb-2 drives hanging around which I could put E. O. on and run it that way but I'd have the same question re. performance, not sure if that would be any better than using the system drive. The PC is quite old so it doesn't have USB-3.
