Hi,
I use VI (not Pro) with SE libraries and yesterday I bought Chamber Strings full library to complete my articulation palette.
Does it make a big difference using VI Pro instead of VI regarding the repetition performance? I saw on the video below that it has a performance repetition editor? what additional parameters can be modify there?
I'm working on a baroque piece right now. I use legato_repet. layered with long detaché for the viola and violin II eighth notes' accompaniment, and I'm not entirely happy with the results. Legato repetition alone sound too legato and a bit unclear, detaché alone sound too separete.
How can I get something inbetween that sounds more natural? After many tries, I layered both articulations legato_repet. + detaché, but I feel it could sound much better. Any suggestions? I had the same similar issue many times. When I need a staccato accompaniment, it works fine with the regular long stacc. patch, but when I need a more legato or a syncopated accompaniment, I have a lot of trouble with the accompaniment patch.
I found this video on internet, but I wonder if there are more dedicated to strings repetitions. Or VI Pro users can give me you own experience. Is the performance editor helpful?
