  • Working with Controllers in Synchron Player

    Hi,

I'm new to the Synchron Player.
I would like to use Controllers instead of Keyswitches.

I figured out how to configure a Controllersetting.
It seems to me that I can assign 8 controllers (A to H), and some of the Dims have been already assigned to do crossfading etc.

Emabarassingly enough I cannot figure out the controller value that triggers the next slot in a row. It doesn't seem to be linear (like in the VI Player).

Step = 127 divided by number of slots.

    Thanks for any help.

  • Hello Stefan!

By default the range of the controller values is linear. The first and last slots only have half of the value range though, because they are easier accessible with a MIDI controller. So if you want a formula, here you are:

Value range first and last slots = 128/(Number of slots+1)
Value range slots in between = 128/(Number of slots-1)

If the dimension has two slots, the value ranges are 0-63 and 64-127.

    Best regards,
    Andi

  • Hello Andi,

    thanks for the quick reply.

I wish I could somehow define the increment independendly of the number of rows.
I know that I always can insert empty rows to keep the increment constant but this would defy the elegant stucture of the Synhron Player which I like a lot.

    I think it's a great product.

    Best Regards

    Stefan
