    Hi, I am interested in ensemble patches similar to libraries like OT Berlin Inspire, Red Room Palette, and Sonic Scores Amadeus. They provide full-range patches for the different families, with smooth blending throughout.

    (Amadeus provides strings and brass but not woodwinds ensemble; I don't like Red Room's sound; and Berlin Inspire unfortunately has several samples with recording defects)

    So I'm looking to see what's available in VSL-land. So far I haven't found what I'm looking for:

    - I'm just not a fan of Smart Orchestra, the woodwinds in particular have overly noticeable transitions through the range

    - Epic Orchestra has strings and woodwinds, but not a brass ensemble

    - I haven't seen a Woodwinds or Bass ensemble patch anywhere else

    So... does VSL have something with ensemble patches for the three main families?

    (I'm also wondering if this is something I can construct myself with Vienna Instruments Pro)

    You can make them yourself. I had started making my own, but since I mostly compose with individual instruments, or at the piano, the project has been left there. But it can be done.

    VSL tried something like this with the Inspiration Presets. Funny that OT then came out with Berlin Inspire…

    Oh very cool. I always kinda knew I could do things like that with VIP but never wanted to devote the time to find out how. It looks a lot easier than I thought! Thanks for pointing me in that direction.
