This was a really long title!
I want to use SP Bass Drum like this: Rolls volume can be controlled by XFade (CC2) and single strokes by velocity. But that isn't possible right?
Because when I switch on the XF Vel. it will be "set" for all samples right?
The Timpanies can be edited to allow controlling the rolls volume by CC2 and STILL keeping single strokes velocity dependant.
Is there a shor cut here?

I just remembered that rolls and single strokes are in the same patch. So my previous answer isn't very useful in your case. Anyway, the Bass Drum single strokes will not crossfade, even with Velocity XFade is turned on. With Velocity XFade turned on, the assigned controller will just be the selector of the dynamic level, but no crossfade will happen.

Yes it's the same patch, but I created a second channel of the Bass Drum, and turned on the crossfade. Set the MIDI channel to 2 and created a key switch in Logic that routes midi to 2 so now it works ok!
