Hi all,
It sounds to me like the Synchron pianos use the same samples for more than a single key. Is this the case? Is whole tone or semitone sampling used?
Thanks,
John

Hi John,
We have applied similar systems to all piano recordings, and after extensive testing, we found that the number of velocities and release samples for different tone lengths had the highest priority for our recordings.
With all possible mic positions, there is also a limit for the total number of Wav files per instance.
So we have recorded the deeper registers from E2 down and in the higher registers from G5 up in C major, and we're very happy with the results.
I hope you are as well!
Best,
Paul

Is this a "yes"?
@TFIS: You're funny 😊, but some questions don't get a Yes/No answer.
I'll try that again:

I'll try that again:
- We recorded the keys contained in C major from the lowest key to E2 and to the highest key from G5.
- The range between E2 and G5 was recorded in half-tone steps.
Best,
Paul
Now I got it. 😄
