For what is worth, I can tell that on my Mac/Sierra, VE (non Pro) dated April 30 can still work fine with Sibelius 6.2.

Just wanted to say that I fixed the problem myself. For anyone interested: Sibelius 6 kept stalling at "restore playback configuration". So I removed the playbck configuration from the Sibelius folder in Application Support. then Sibelius started without problems. I went to the audio engine and clicked on rescan. Then I put the Playback Configuration folder back into the Sibelius Application Support folder and started Sibelius. Voila! Problem solved.
Hello, Can anyone help me please? I've been using Sibelius 6,2 with Vienna Ensemble for a long time now and was just working on a big project. I also had it so that Vienna Ensemble would start with Sibelius and would go straight to the last used playback configuration. Suddenly, since last night Vienna Ensemble is NOT starting along with Sibelius and when Sibelius does start, in the playback devices in Sibelius you can only see Vienna Instruments and not VE. This is really strange because the only thing I did do yesterday was have sibelius re-scan all VST's and now it has stopped doing what it had been doing perfectly all along. Even when I open VE outside of Sibelius I just get a mixer without any instruments. Please help!
Hello G.!
If Vienna Ensemble doesn't get listed in the Sibelius Available devices list, it seems that it has been blacklisted by Sibelius on your computer.
I would try to delete the Sibelius 6 preferences and especially the "Plogue Engine" folder from Users/Username/Library/Application Support/Sibelius Software/Sibelius 6/PlogueEngine.
The folder Users/Username/Library is hidden by default. To get access, go to the folder Users/Username and select Go to folder with the Finder. Then enter "Library".
After deleting the "Plogue Engine" folder, I would restart the computer.
I hope this helps.
Best regards,
Andi
